RDC Ten elects Committee heads

The various Committee Heads elected at the RDC Region # 10

Several APNUAFC councillors in Region Ten were elected unto various regional committees
when the council held its first meeting for the ninth council last Thursday.
The meeting which was held at the Watooka Guest House saw the 18-member council being
dominated by fifteen APNU/AFC councillors. However, while the council is being congratulated
on what many described as a highly successful first meeting, many are questioning the role being
played by AFC. It was noticed that only a few AFC members secured places unto the Committee
as Heads.
www.aroundtheregions.com spoke to some persons from the APNUAFC camp in the region who
have criticized how some members of the council have taken a ‘bossy’ approach. They pointed
out that this doesn’t argue well for halitic regional development.
“There are about two or three APNU Councillors who have already began seeking to boss
around the other councillors and I can tell you that it is only a matter of time before the others
begin to rebel, because not many will allow themselves to be bullied like this,” an APNU party
source revealed.
Meanwhile, several AFC pundits are stating that the current action by the APNU fraction and the
seemingly unwillingness by the AFC councillors to demand better and more have resulted in
former AFC Region Ten MP Audwin Rutherford parting ways with the party. “A man like
Rutherford is no puppet, he is no walk over and he is certainly no one who will sit by while
advantage is being taken on his fellow party members by APNU and even the big ‘wigs’ in his
party. Many respects and admire his decision and I guess that it is only a matter of time before
others follow suit with similar actions,” an AFC party source within the region said.
