Mother of 14, Wanita Burnette
A MOTHER OF 14 WAS AMONG 30 SINGLE PARENTS who received hampers from
Executive Director of the President Youth Award Republic of Guyana (PYARG) Mr. Ivan
Bentham last Sunday as part of Mothers’ Day observances in Guyana.
The mother, Wanita Burnette, was extremely ecstatic and emotional with the gift from the
PYARG, Bentham said.
He told www.aroundtheregions.com that the mothers were drawn from two religious institutions
and several Wards within the capital city, as demonstration of the government’s philosophy of
caring.
“The administration and PYARG intends to reach out to all,” Bentham reiterated.
He said the 30 recipients were elated at the PYARG’s gesture to recognise mothers.
“We at PYARG were very pleased by the responses from the mothers as it helped in
affording us an opportunity at further reiterating government’s mandate of reaching out to
all,” Bentham said.
