Jury returns a 9-2 guilty verdict in Stanley Knight sexual assault trial
ST KITTS, September 27, 2021 – Former Permanent Secretary Stanley Knight has been found guilty of sexual offence.
869NewsPlus has received credible reports that Knight was found guilty at the end of a trial at the Sir Lee Llewellyn Moore Judicial and Legal Services Complex on Monday.
The jury reportedly returned a 9-2 guilty verdict.
Knight reportedly indecently assaulted a young female at his government office upstairs The Cable Building on the afternoon of October 31, 2018.
The victim reported the matter to the Police on November 9, 2018 and Knight was arrested and charged on November 13, 2018. He had been granted bail which was automatically revoked on the guilty verdict.
Knight was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison to await sentencing. A social enquiry report is expected to be carried prior to the date for sentencing.
