DR TERRANCE MICHAEL DREW on Saturday received his instruments of office as the fourth Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis after his Labour party last Friday swept the national polls.
Dr Drew will hold the ministries of Finance, CBI, National Security, Social Security, Citizenship and Immigration. The Prime Minister will also take control of the embattled Ministry of Health.
Dr. Geoffrey Handley, one of two deputes within the St. Kitts Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) was sworn in as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister with responsibility for Education, Youth, Social Development, Housing, Aging and Disabilities.
The lone female, Ms. Marsha Henderson, will head the Ministries of Civil Aviation, Tourism, and Urban Development.
Konris Maynard who is the other deputy leader of the SKNLP will manage the ministries of Public Infrastructure, Utility, Post, Information, Communication and Technology.
Meanwhile, Samal Duggins has been entrusted as the Minister with responsibility for Agriculture, Fisheries, Marine Resources, Creative Economy and Entrepreneurship and Cooperatives.
And former Prime Minister, Dr. Denzil Douglas, has been appointed as Minister with responsibility for Foreign Affairs, Economic Development, Investment, and International Trade, Industry and Commerce. Dr. Douglas was PM of SKN for 20 continuous years until he lost for the first time in 2015 to the coalition Team Unity of Dr Timothy Harris.
Garth Wilkin was appointed the Attorney General, while Dr Joyelle Clarke and Ms Isalean Phillip were appointed as senators:
The duo will have responsibilities for Sustainable Development, Environment Climate Action and Constituency Empowerment.
