BREAKING NEWS…Head of Region Ten COVID Unit hospitalised with the deadly virus

HEAD OF THE COVID UNIT FOR REGION TEN, DR MICHAEL MARKS IS
HOSPITALISED IN THE ICU at the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Liliendaal, East Coast
Demerara.
www.aroundtheregions.com learnt that Dr Marks was tested positive for COVID recently.
However over the past three days his situation reportedly dramatically worsened forcing his
admission to the infectious diseases’ institution.
A well-placed source close to the Ministry of Health said Dr Marks “isn’t doing very well but the
doctors are working on him. “We remain hopeful that he will pull through,” the source said.
Another knowledgeable source said Dr Marks “has a lot is working in his favour” but others told
this media house that his condition is unpredictable.
