The six men accused of beating Grenadian, world javelin champion Anderson Peters were taken to court this morning to answer several charges. www.aroundtheregions.com learnt that the six men turned up to a packed courtroom as several persons flocked inside and out of the courtroom to get a glimpse of the men.
The six men are all Trinidadian nationals, they are John Alexander, 55, Deckhand of Arima, Mikhail John, 35, Sailor of San Juan, Noel Cooper., 42, Captain of Gurpe, Lance Wiggins, 45, Sailor of Cocorite and Sheon Jack, 28, Sailor of Cocorite were all charged with one count each of Grievous Harm and Stealing, while Abiola Benjamin, 40, Operations Manager/ Police Officer of Maravel was charged for Assault on Peters.
It was revealed that Alexander, John, Cooper, Wiggins and Jack were also charged for causing harm to Kiddon Peters, the brother of Anderson Peters.
The men were in custody and is currently facing a magistrate at the moment in a St. Georges Court.
