Government will stand by Lindeners “through thick and thin”

ALTHOUGH LINDENERS OVERWHELMINGLY REJECTED THE PEOPLES
PROGRESSIVE PARTY (PPP) at the March 2020 polls the Government nevertheless will stick
with them “through thick and thin” Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister,
Hugh Todd assured.
“We want you to succeed. We want you to be able to take care of your families. We want you to
grow, expand. We want you to be a part of the prosperity here in Guyana,” Todd assured the
bauxite-mining residents.

He promised the Irfaan Ali administration “will stand by you through thick and thin,” while
distributing flood relief cheques to Upper Demerara/Berbice (Region Ten) farmers at the
Mackenzie High School.
The one-time University of Guyana (UG) lecturer emphasised the caring, pro-people and pro-
poor policies of the 13-month Irfaan Ali administration.
“We believe in development from the bottom up and top down. We’re not in Government
to take care of the business class only, but to take care of each and every individual
throughout the length and breadth of this country,” Todd reiterated.
