LIGHTNING struck Super Bet TWICE

BY NOW THE BUSINESS OWNER OF ‘SUPER BET’ MUST BELIEVE that lightning can
strike twice. Bandits robbed two of his businesses, in the heart of the capital city, Georgetown,
twice within weeks.
First, they targeted his enterprise at Bourda. The latest was last Sunday, which targeted his
commerce on Regent Street.
According to reports, the businessman was closing up his business for the day when he was
accosted by a gun-toting bandit. The businessman put up a fight but was overpowered by the
armed bandit whose accomplice was waiting on a motorcycle.
After relieving the businessman of the day’s earnings, they fled.
It was then that passersby realised it was a daring robbery, and not a mere physical tussle
between two angry combatants.
“I mean it looked like a lil squabble but we never knew that it was rob that he was getting
robbed. I could have sworn that it was a lil thing taking place,” an eyewitness recounted.
Another said; “This situation is becoming sickening. It’s like everyday, somebody is getting
robbed. It's sad to see that the police seem incapable of doing anything about it. Here is a
businessman who was robbed twice within a short space of time and ultimately his employees
and his family are the ones who will be severely affected.”
A businessman told www.aroundtheregions.com that he fears for his and his employees’ safety.
He confessed he is prepared to die defending hos hard-earned assets.
“These guys are going after everybody and anybody and until someone takes the fight to them to
make them an example, we will not get peace. Somebody has to stand up and make them a
public example in killing them,” the businessman said.

“Have a heart. How can you enjoy the sweat of someone else's labour through criminal means?
This isn’t right and someday you will all pay for it,” the businessman warned those bandits and
those benefiting from the criminal enterprise.
The police retrieved CCTV footage as they continue investigations into the latest robbery.
