Lanna Albert no longer Confidential Secretary

Former Confidential Secretary to REO and Secretary to the Regional Tender Board, Lanna Albert

News coming to hand have indicated that Assistant Regional Executive Officer (AREO) Lanna
Albert, have been relieved of performing the Confidential Secretary to the REO duties. Multiple
sources speaking to www.aroundtheregions.com indicated that recently appointed Regional
Executive Officer (REO), Dwight John removed Albert owing to numerous and multiple
complaints from contractors and members of the public.
This media house had reported that some contractors had come forward indicating that they had
offered kickbacks among other things to senior RDC Officials. While three of the contractors
speaking exclusively fingered Albert as one of the key players and detailed the ring, other names
were not immediately identified in the interview.
However, this media houses in its ongoing investigation and interaction with several persons,
have recognized that Albert certainly isn’t the only employee who may have received kickbacks.
This media house reached out to the REO, Dwight John and sought to confirm if Lanna Albert
was performing duties as his Confidential Secretary.
John said that he currently doesn’t have a confidential secretary. When quizzed as to what has
become of Albert, he said that she is no longer performing those duties, but rather executing her
assigned duties as the AREO. “Ms. Albert is no longer performing the duties of Confidential
Secretary as she is the AREO, as such, she is performing those duties,” he said.
In an earlier interview Albert when contacted by this media house, initially refused to comment.
She subsequently said, “Look I am not mixed up in anything and I don’t want to be mixed up I
am begging you. I don’t know about that, it's an allegation and there isn’t any evidence.”
www.aroundtheregions.com pressed further for answers on the allegations that she leaked and or
voluntarily given out information in the past emanating from the Regional Tender Board
meetings. The AREO reminded this media house of her long service to the region, stating “Look
I have been working here for the past 30 years and that isn’t true,” she declared.
Additionally, when told that this media house would have secured evidence contracting her
comments, the AREO refused to further comment. She stated that she no longer wishes to make
any further statements. She subsequently ended the conversation.
www.aroundtheregions.com speaking to some staff and a number of contractors about Albert’s
removal expressed satisfaction. One contractor disclosed that he is elated and feels a sense of
happiness that she has been moved. “I will not hide the fact that I am happy that the new REO
has moved her because this was someone who under four previous REOs did whatever she
wanted. It was as though no REO had the strength to move her but I am glad that REO Dwight
John has removed her,” a contractor said.
Another contractor said that there will be a more professional approach to the Regional Tender
Board considering that information may not be leaked as was done under Albert, who many

continues to accuse her. “There was an evident uneven playing field and with her removal I  am
certain that things will be better,” the contractor opined.
Meanwhile, an employee of the RDC expressed confidence that a more professional
approach would be taken towards the execution of duties at the RDC. This, the employee said iis
the demonstration of the newly appointed REO John that he means business and will execute his
duties to the highest professional standard. “This was needed a very long time now but we are
happy that the new REO recognizes that there is a lot of shaking up that needs to be done and he
is already getting the job done,” the employee said.
