The government has issued its COVID-19 Emergency Measures for November, adjusting the curfew hours to run from 10.30pm t0 4 am.
The October curfew runs from 9pm to 4am.
The Orders gazetted today become effective from Sunday November 1 and run until Monday November 30.
During Friday’s COVID-19 Update, Minister of Health, Hon. Dr. Frank Anthony said persons have, largely, been observing the measures. However, there are still some challenges with gatherings.
“I think we have seen improvements, and with Operation COVI-CURB, we have seen more people wearing masks, but we need to take that up to 90, to 100 per cent. So, we need to keep working on this and we need everybody to be involved in complying with mask wearing,” he said.
During the lockdown hours, citizens are reminded to remain indoors and in their own yard spaces and to practice social distancing when in public spaces. They are also reminded that wearing masks in public is mandatory.
